Local storage apps are designed to keep your data safe and easy to access. Unlike traditional apps, there is no login or signup—you don't need a username, password, or account. Everything is stored directly on your computer.
The apps work by using your browser's local storage. This means your data stays on your device and never leaves it. To ensure your information is saved, make sure you don't clear your browser history or site data. As long as your history remains intact, your notes, assignments, or other saved data will remain accessible.
Tip: To make it easy, you can use a dedicated browser for these apps and just remember to never clear your history on that browser.
If you want to backup your data, you can easily export it. Exporting downloads a file to your computer so you can save a copy before clearing your history. Similarly, if you want to move your data to another device, simply export it from your current device, then go to the new device and click import to load your data.
It saves everything you've been doing and it's a good idea to do it every few days.
All these actions—viewing, exporting, and importing—are done in a special area of the app called Data Management. This section gives you full control over your saved information while keeping it completely private.
With local storage apps, you get simple, secure, and private data management, all without needing an account or sending your information online.
